Question for newlyweds!! Pls help!

When u entered the ballroom did u hold ur train?? And was it hard to do ur first dance with ur train out???

or is it better to just bustle the dress.
the reason I want to leave it out is because if ppl dont come to the church to see my train , I want them to see it at the hall!

Advise pls!!

I had my dress bustled once we got to the reception hall - knowing me I would have either tripped on it myself or something would have stepped on it while entering and our first dance.

My BMs wouldn't let me bustle my dress or change my shoes until after the first dance! I wasn't nearly as much concerned with my dress as I was my shoes during the first dance. My dress didn't have a really long train though.....

I didn't bustle my gown until after my frist dance... It was fine... Just use those hips to swing your train out of the way if you spin or something...

I had my dress bustle before we went into the ball room, because I knew we were going right into our first dance and we took dance lessons and I didn't want it over my arm during the dance.

My DOC's bustled it after the ceremony. I loved how my dress looked bustled so I couldn't wait to do it!

I bustled mine after the ceremony. We did a surprise fast paced dance after our slow dance, so I knew it would get all screwed up if I had the train out. Plus I loved the french bustle also

I had mine bustled THANK GOONESS. My bustle had 23 points and took us at least 20 minutes to accomplish. I'm so glad I did it before the reception and didn't miss out on any of the dancing!!

I carried my train and danced w/ it un-bustled for the exact reason you mentioned.

My train was SUPER long and really a highlight of the dress (IMO) so I wanted people to see it who didnt come to the church.

We just did the 'sway' type of dancing so it wasn't an issue.

i had my dress bustlked right before i went in. we had already taken most of our pics by then so i knew it would come out in pics and i didn't want to trip all over it while i was dancing

i bustled my dress right before we entered the RH it didnt really matter though becuase about 20 min into the reception my bustle broke and wasnt the same all night...

this... plus i did not want to hold it up the whole cocktail hour because it was hot enough in the dress to have it making my arms sweaty and hot
