Re: Question for the day 10/4/02
One of the guys I work with gave us 2 items from my registry - a baking pan set and a towel. Not a set of towels - just one towel. We still find it very humorous. Who gives one towel?

Re: Question for the day 10/4/02
The last gift at my shower was a p---- wrapped in a box. My MOH was helping me open the gifts, and she saw it and quickly passed it to me. When I opened it, I closed it back quickly and was completely speechless. All women were shouting that I have to open it and show it to everone like I did with everything else. I was a mess. Every time I see the video of it, I crack up b/c it's so funny.

A white #10 envelope - no card - with Congratulations Fran & John written on it and $170.00 cash in it. By process of we figured out it was from one of my cousins. What a goof ball he is!

Jennifer, I am proud of you for starting the topic of the day.
The strangest gift we received was a pizza stone and a casserole dish. We still have them wrapped.

At my shower, one of my aunts wrapped up my old piggy bank that I had left at her house when I was little and she filled it with candy.

Re: Question for the day 10/4/02
the craziest gift i got was a giant pacifier and the nipple part of it was shaped as a 'you know what, male organ'... well it was from my maid of honor, i opened it while all the girls took me out to dinner, not only was my mom there, but both of my grandmothers.. i was about 87 shades of red!!!! Can anyone say bad timing....LOL!!

Re: Question for the day 10/4/02
I was lucky and didn't end up w/too many 'no use' gifts (although my DH made me keep this stupid sandwich maker that has yet to be used, but since he threw out the box, I'm stuck w/it), but at my shower my friend left this big huge youknowwhat on my plate, but my niece picked it up and asked her mother what it was, so that was hidden before I got there!!! When I finally did see it, I turned beet red and threw it in a bag. Let's fast forward to about a month ago, my hubby was looking for something in the closet and comes out with this thing and when he saw the look on my face, he just burst out laughing!
