I usually receive direct deposit into my own checking acct but since we got married we joined our accounts, only keeping my own checking acct at a different bank. Since I cahnged my direct deposit info my check is no longer directly deposited and I have to cash it.
Can I cash a check in my maiden name into an account with my new last name??

If you put in new direct deposit info you should only have 1 or 2 live checks. I woudl deposit the check into my account rather than cashing it but you shouldn't have a problem. I still sometimes get checks in my maiden name.

You should be able to cash it.. I have been able to after changing it.. and I am receiving holiday gifts in my maiden name.. I hope 1 or 2..

You should be able to deposit it for awhile, I don't know when they would not accept it. My bank accepted two or three, and after that, my payroll was revised.
I still haven't even ordered new checks yet. I keep forgetting, and bill companies really do not care who the money comes from, as long as they get money!
