Question? WHat times does your DH come home after work?

DH comes hoem around 6:30-7:30pm

i hate it!!!!!!!!!! we dont finish dinner until like 8:30

IT STINKS!!!!!! plus i hate eating that late!!

and he usually falls asleep on the couch by 10pm

he works since 7am in the morning!!

anyone else have to deal with this!!!!

when he works 9-5, he's home around 6ish.
when he works 1-close (store closes at 9pm) he's home close to 10pm.

My DH works from 5:30AM (thats when he leaves the house) till 6 or 7PM Monday thru Saturday during the winter. In the spring/summer and fall he works M-F at his real job then works at a golf course (FOR FUN!) Sat and Sun from 12-6. AND he plays golf EVERY Sunday morning from 8-12. We NEVER see DH.

DH wonders why I shop so much... I tell him its because IM BORED!! He's never home. Even today he's out working and Im here with the kids, alone again.

How do you NOT have a major problem with this? I'd kill my DH if he did that to me (work for FUN)....if it was a matter of $$, that's one thing......

It's different every day since his teaching schedule is different-
Monday 9:30 pm
Tuesday- 1pm
Weds- 3 unless he has a meeting, then 5 pm
Thurs- by 5
Friday- he is off so he is there when I get home.

It's hard to eat so late on Mon (I wait for him) but I do like having the afternoon to myself when I get home from work. Overall he has a great schedule and we get to spend lots of time together.

My Dh is a teacher too, but he tutors after school, we have a similar schedule, on Mondays he is home by 6 pm and then it varies thru the week, the only day he gets home early is Friday which is usually by 4 pm. I also love to eat lunch by myself during the week, I have this whole routine, I get home from work by 1 ish, I only work part time and then have lunch and watch something on tv and then do house work and errands. But it is very hard when they get home late, I hate to eat late too.

The REAL job he works for himself and works enough so I can stay home with the kids. I hate how much he works but I make him take a few hours off here and there for family time. As for the golf course job he loves golf and calls that his 'real job' and that is his stress relief from working to support us. I cant take that away from him BUT I do load up Emma (and now Jeremy) and take her down there to run around and play with Daddy between groups going out to play (hes the starter in the afternoons). Everyone there is like family anyway so they are cool with us being there.

He sacrifices for us so I make sacrifices for him. Dont get me wrong he has a wonderful relationship with the kiddies and I could not have asked for a better father for them but I wish living was free so he could be here 24-7.

Ah, that's another lovely bonus of DH's job. There hasn't been a single holiday yet that he's been off for. He worked Christmas, New Year's, Easter, Valentine's day, every single Monday holiday, etc. I think that's even worse than him getting home at 12:30 in the morning.

For the past couple of months he's been working 2pm-12am and doesn't get home until 1am.

Dh leaves after me in the morning (usually around 8 ish)...then he gets home anywhere between 6-7...
It isnt too bad, if he is on trial his hours are worse. We do eat dinner together every night and have our weekends together...I feel very fortunate for this.

I guess I'm lucky because we both leave at 7:30am for work and he gets home at 4:50pm and I get home at 5:10pm so it works out well. We both teach at night so we leave at 6:30pm and we come home together at 10pm.

It's hectic but at least we're together. Weekends we don't work which is nice too

DH is full time student, full time restaurant manager, I never see him. 10 months till graduation Thank God!

After reading some of these posts I really cannot complain!

I get home usually around 7:00pm. Dh is usually right behind me, anywhere from 7:30-8pm, depending on how bad traffic is

We eat VERY light at night as a result of this.. too late to be coooking a big dinner and eating heavy when we'll be in bed shortly thereafter

DH usually gets home around 6:30 PM... occasionally between 7 and 7:30 if he worked late.

We both leave the house at 6:30 AM to get to our jobs at 7:30 AM. But I generally work 7:30-3:30, while he works 7:30 to 5 or 5:30, so I get an hour or two at home by myself before he gets home.

Hmm...We both get off around 5, then both go to the gym for an hour...So we get home around 6:15, 6:30, about the same time. And we have all weekend together.

DH works FT and is a PT law student. He leaves between 8:30 - 9am and gets home between 9:30-10pm. He has class 3 nights a week and on the days he doesn't have class he may stay at the library to read. He also goes to the library on the weekends for 4-6 hrs. I can't wait til he graduates next May.

We both leave for work on a 7am train and we are both usually home around 8pm....long days and late dinners but we have the weekends to look forward too!

My husband works nights (4 - midnight) so he get's home around 12:30. I usually try to stay up to see him before I go to bed. No dinner together for us....

He works 4 days then he's off for 4 days but not really those 4 days off he's usually working overtime but his hours are 3pm - 1am. He's never home at 1 so it's usually 5am - 8am. We see each other for a few hours maybe 2 or 3 times a week including weekends.

dh is at work for 7am leaves the house 5:45am gets home on a good night at 10:30 works on saturday and sunday from home. I get to see him for an hour before we go to sleep and if we go out on a fridays its once every 6 months that happens and once in a while we go out on a saturday night. How his job asks him to travel at least once a month. Now I get to see him on weekends. Got to love it.
