Questions about parent's albums

Hellooooooo fellow newlyweds!

Can anyone tell me how many pages are in their parent's photo albums (or how many pictures) and what size each picture is? We'd also like to know where you purchased your album from, if you got it in a store rather than your photographer.

We're planning on doing them ourselves because our photographer wanted $500. per album and we thought we could do them ourselves much cheaper.

My Mom said that my sister's albums were both 24 pages with a 5x7 on each. I haven't done an exhaustive search yet but the albums I'm finding are either the ringed kind (which we don't want) or the pages are meant for 4x6's.

It looks like we'll have to find a do-it-yourself kind of photo album where you stick the corners on each page. If you have one of these, where did you get it?

Ours is 24 5x7 pics. I think my mom wants to add some.

I know it is 8x10 but I believe 24 pictures

Have you thought about using Shutterfly? They'll print a bound book for you for a fairly reasonable price, as I understand it.

We got smaller parent albums (since we have 4 sets of parents) that are only 12 pages but they can have one or two shots per page depending how big they want them.

Ok good, I thought I was mistaken about the 24 PAGES. It's not, it's 24 PICTURES. Whew!

So then... 12 pages with a total of 24 pictures. We can handle that.

I didn't know Shutterfly actually does binding and photo albums like that. I thought they just did picture reprints! I'll have to check that out, thanks!

Shutterfly does the magazine style albums. You can also try mypublisher.com or winkflash.com
