I work at Legal Aid, where the paychecks aren't exactly making me a goldmine, but I believe in my cause, so okay. I digress.
I go to my office and on everyone's desk is a single space page long memo about how Suffolk County will no longer fund our water cooler and we all have to bring in our own water, but they think the sink should be okay...but Happy Holidays (we also have to pay for our own friggin holiday party)....
Yet in Court, with the same money, they did a phone conference with Argentina where they were on hold most of the morning (4 hours) at....15 DOLLARS A MINUTE!!!! And we can't get water....
Life=not fair

WOW!!!! that's really sad.. And ummm, I think they should invest there time looking into a better phone company! I think opt online its like 39cents a min (we call that way a lot) you just have to prepay or add a cc
that stinks that you lose that as they pi$$ away money on nothing!!
An no holiday party with out you paying for it? There really being a scrooge!

wow!!! that stinks!!! when I worked in Queens we also had to pay for our own holiday party......being in Manhattan though, I can see how much waste goes on!! Some companies are just getting by, and others pissing money away!!! I drink water all day long so nixing the water cooler would be a big problem for me too!!!

They are poopieheads...it is actually Suffolk County and the Argentinian Embassy. Video Conferences are free though...dumb@sses

It is like they are just looking for ways to be cheap or to piss us off, like filling out 17 sheets to get a half day of comp time!
