random question

okay so you are filling out a card for a b-day/wedding/anniversary.. whatever...

you write the WHOLE thing out and are re reading it and you find a spelling error or you wrote the wrong word

what do you do?

do you buy another card and start over

or

do you cross it out/white it out, etc...

Re: random question

I would try to squeeze in the correction without crossing anything out ... like if it was an E instead of an A I would just try to write the A over the E or whatever.

If I couldn't do that ... I'd just cross it out and write the correctly spelled word as best I could. I would not buy a new card but there's no way I would send a card that had a spelling error in it ... though I'm a big nerd and former spelling bee champ, so the chances of that happening in the first place are slim to none ...

Re: random question

I think I *might* break out the white out... that or if I had enough room I'd turn it into a joke like... 'oops!!! I got caught up in the excitement of this special day, I couldn't help but wish you the best on another while I'm at it!'

I hate wasting cards...

Re: random question

I would cross out the word with one line and write the correct word above it.

Re: random question

i usualy write cards out in script that way if i mess up, it could be confused with bad handwriting instead of my bad grammer or spelling! LOL
