Does anyone know whether or how you can break a car lease? Mine is a Nissan, if it matters

I think there is a fee if you break the lease all together. I think you can transfer/extend the lease to another model w/ Nissan w/o a fee.

Re: Random Question - Car Lease
How much do you have left in the lease....if its not a long time sometimes you can make a deal with the new dealer to take the lease....
I can give you more advice is you let me know how much time is left.....I have gotten out of all my leases early

I am only 5 months into a 39 month lease. My new job is providing me with a car, and I don't need two, so would prefer to get out of this one!

Yeah because you are just in it an not buying another car you will def be wacked by a huge fee. You could buy the car and then re-sell it or see if someone ese can take over the lease. I would ask because many car companies are doing different things because of the economy

You will be hit with a fee if they will even take it back at all. My parents tried to turn in my Grandfathers lease early, because he couldn't drive anymore and the car company wouldn't take it back even with a letter from his doctor. They had to use an online service to find someone to take over the lease.

Re: Random Question - Car Lease
maybe you to can explain to your job that you just leased a car and maybe they can give you a stipend for the lease car instead of one of their company cars.

Re: Random Question - Car Lease
Also try swapalease.com
My BFF used it when she got hitched and they only needed one car. She was like a year into a 39 month lease on a BMW if that matters.
