My raw footage is just under 3 hours. I watched it from beginning to end ONCE and that was plenty!

I dont have it yet but I think Wild Rose told me that it was on 3 or 4 VHS tapes, so Im guessing at least 4-6 hours.

Re: raw footage question for newlyweds
OK this is the thing. I loved how my place was on the day of..so unobtrusive, my photograppher was so sweet and we got along great. But I have had my pics now since December and I just do not care for them all that much. They are all very posed, no black and white, just not that great. I mean the shots are good, well most of them, I just thought they were going to be a bit different is all.
And my video...thats what Im even more upset about. My raw footage was so short. My guy didnt even stay till the end of the wedding which is when everything happened (all the good dancing). I cant go back and change that now and that night to be honest, I didnt even realize he was gone but now I am so unhappy cause I dont have a lot of video and a lot of my memories are gone forever. I wouldnt care if I had to sit through 15 hours of footage, as long as I had it. Oh well...nothing I can do now.

Re: raw footage question for newlyweds
Noreen, I am so sorry you had such disappointing results with your photos and your video. Did you agree with your people to stay until the end?? was there anyone there (YOUR GUEST) video taping?? Maybe he can include footage that other people give to you.
In our contract with Imagine we agreed that they would stay until the very end, that is when all payments were made any way, so if they chose to leave earlier, they would have been leaving w/o payment. Maybe all is not lost. Our video is between 3-5 hrs.
Did you speak to your photographer about what you wanted?? Did you know from the get go that there would be no B&W??? that seem strange. Unless they are the kind of photographer that takes all pix in color and then convert the ones you want to B&W. Have you spoken to your vendors since you got your final product. I know the day cannot be done over, but maybe there is something that can be done. I hope something works out for you. (((HUGS))))))))))

Re: raw footage question for newlyweds
Well the video thing is one of those things that you just cant remember anything. It wasnt in our contract
As for the pics...we were promised black and white..they said they convert but now they are saying for extra money they will convert. Thats ridiculous. I dont like the sales division of the company although like i said...the photographer himself was awesome. Oh well...thanks for the advice and kind words.

Re: raw footage question for newlyweds
I will forum you the name of the company or should I just post it right here? I dont know if thats wrong or not. Honestly, you know how you pay attention to ALL the details and then later on your like...**** why didnt i get that in writing??? So, there wasnt anything in my contract about the video guy staying or leaving.
As far as the black and white pictures it says that I am entitled to them...doesnt say anything about extra costs or that I had to have them turned into black and white so that one im definately fighting!

Re: raw footage question for newlyweds
You better, if all your work is not done yet, then don't post their names. IF you see anyone about to use them you should forewarn them. I am so sorry Noreen. That s-u-c-k-s I hope it all gets resolved. One last question when did you give them their final payment???
