Some decor ideas, use napkin rings to dress up the tables:
Jewelry – Turn your napkin rings into fashionable pieces by using a vintage brooch as a material for decorating a table napkin in a Marie Antoinette themed table setting. You can also make it modern by creating a napkin ring in the form of a ribbon buckle. Hint: Use a round or square jeweled buckle and tie them with a colorful ribbon that matches the event for a simple yet stylish look. Many craft stores sell these jeweled buckles in various colors and shapes.
A bridal shower party with a fashion theme can be a fun-filled event teeming with great ideas. To begin the planning, it's a good idea to think about the style of the party whether it will be a modern or vintage-inspired one. I personally love anything vintage because it is so romantic, but you can also spice it up with cool details and bold colors. Check out your craft stores for ribbons, beads, and other fun embellishments to jazz up the decor. You can also be inspired by your favorite handbag designer or purse style to plan the decorations of the party. Here are some party ideas that you can start with:
For invitations:
Madison Park Purse Invitation - cute motif on the header
For the cake:
A French-inspired purse cake - oh, wow!
For the party supplies:
Cute pink stripe plates - pretty, pretty, ...
For the goodies:
Purse shaped cookies - yum!
For the guests:
Give'em some pretty purse favor bags
Also, I worked with Cara Linn Cakes, Inc. for my wedding. She also makes other cakes for occasions, if you can't find a baker, go to http://www.caralinncakes.com . She's having a cake sale! ** 40% off all orders before
June 25th**. Let her know that Christine referred you.
Good luck with your sister's shower!

Re: Re-post! Any ideas for fashion themed bridal shower?
Christine, thank you so much for your help.
At this point I don't think I will be ordering any cookies. My friend is doing chocolate lollipops for me instead.
I love the idea of dressing up the napkins. I have rhinestone buckles left over from my wedding invites (look in my album). Do you think it's okay to use for my sister's shower? I mean, I want her shower to be special.
Anyways, it's a contemporary fashion party. I told all the girls to wear their latest fashion and accessories with bright colors.I am thinking of doing a Strut Your Stuff Catwalk with all the guests. The bride to be will pick the winning outfit. We are also doing The Price is Right. I have to buy some lingerie for this game. I am naming the tables with designer names as another bride had suggested. I would love to do a cake tower but I can't tie it to the fashion theme. Any ideas? You're so good at this.

Re: Re-post! Any ideas for fashion themed bridal shower?
No problem, anytime! I love your ideas, sounds like a fun bridal shower! For the cake tower, here are some ideas:
* Sex in the City theme inspired cake:
It's perfectly fine to re-use your rhinestone buckles for the napkins. Or if you're worried that guests might notice, go to Forever 21 and buy a couple of pearl strands, they're 3.99 ea. They also have other beautiful beads, brooches & jewelry pieces as well. If you have time for DIY projects, buy satin ribbon & brooch from a local arts & craft store (Michael's, Jo Ann, etc.) and hot glue brooches or rhinestones to ribbon. Another easier method is buy plastic gem rings.
Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual Sale starts tomorrow if you need lingerie. Or go to Daffy's, H&M's for cheaper lingerie. Again, if you don't have any place for the cake, book with Cara Linn and take advantage of the 40% cake sale. I recently booked with her for my one year anniversary cake. If you need further help, email me at [email protected].

Did I say tower cake? I already have a cake from the bakery. I meant towel cake! ![]()
I guess I can just make a regular towel cake and decorate it with a pearl necklace and put a stiletto on top like the first one you posted.
I'll use the left over rhinestones from my wedding. Her friends weren't at my wedding so it's new to them. I'll definately check out H&M and VS.
Thanks for your help.
