Real Estate Attorney Reccomendation

Can anyone please please help me find a good new real estate attorney...

the other one kept delaying and delaying and never returning phone calls...and finally told me when i wanted to go thru the contract w/him that well it doesn't sound like you trust me why don't you find another attorney (WHAT EGO just b/c I was asking ???s and trying to be as safe as possible w/our $$$$$)

we need to find another one by today!

You can forum mail me if that's better.

also for those who recently did this whole stressful house thing...can the sellers attorney really state that if the contract isn't signed in x number of days that it becomes null and void

doesn't seem fair considering i cant control the attorneys schedule and say drop everything else and work on my contract???

thx for letting me vent and for your help

Re: Denise

Well I am new at this too! We just signed our contract the first week of January and its our first house too! :) But I think you pretty much have it. Today on the radio they were talking about an attorney on the Island here who used a person's downpayment that was suppose to be held in Escrow and then at the closing, gave them a check that bounced! Scary!!!

IMO, I would call Brian. I am sure the guy in NJ will protect you too and if your cousin recommended him. But Brian is VERY particular about every little detail. While we were there signing the contract, he was on the phone with teh other attorney CHECKING AND RECHECKING every paragraph that he didn't like and telling him what he wanted changed. Things me and DH didn't even think of.! We are having the termite inspection done today as a matter of fact, if you need the name of a great home inspector, let me know. :) We get along great with the buyers, she wants to have us over soon to meet our new neighbors, so nice, we are very lucky!

Where are you moving too?
