Reception Sites
Hi Everyone !!I'm new to the board and got engaged in December. My Dear Fiancee and I are looking for places. I'd love to hear your feedback of those of you who have gotten married in terms of the reception places, their services, how was the food (very important to us !) *yummy* and anything else you can think of. We had seen Larkfield which I know the food is unbelievable good but I wasn't too thrilled about the shape of the room and the Woodbury Country Club. This one I liked but I've no feedback in terms of food or service because I don't know anyone who has gone there or I haven't been to a wedding there either. I hope you all can help and thanks so much. I will appreciate your honesty!!!
Thanks again !!!

Re: Reception Sites
I had just gone to a wedding at the Woodbury Country Club.. I thought it was beautiful...Food was excellent and the service was great also. You should take into consideration the amount of people that you are going to have, the time of year, and your budget. Then it would be alot easier to narrow down halls. Do you want to be the only wedding at that hall? that day?

Re: Reception Sites
Thanks Ladies for answering !!I knew I can count on all of you !!
We are having from 175 to 200 guests. We are hoping 175 the most. We'd like the wedding in late April and we'd like to spend no more than $100.00 pp. We're on a budget but we want something nice too !! I went to seven weddings last year and liked Port Jefferson CC but it is way too far for us. The food there is good as well.
It's good to hear your feedback since you all are married and probably had been to any of the places mentioned.

Ours was at The Meadow Club, and they are definitely within your budget. They were great, the food was outstanding, and the grounds are beautiful as well.Meadow Club

Re: Reception Sites
I had my wedding at Larkfield Manor. Which room were you talking about that you didn't like the size of the room? We had the room to the right (when you first walk in the building). We were very happy with this hall!! The food was amazing and the room was great because the dance floor is huge!
If you have any questions, let me know!
