Recipe for RIBS

Original post by Kel

Preheat oven to 250 degrees

In broiler pan, put about 1 inch deep of water, and add 1-2 tablespoons of liquid smoke*.

Put ribs on the broiler rack and cover loosely with aluminum foil.

Bake 3 hours.

Transfer ribs to BBQ on medium heat for about 15-20 minutes and baste with your favorite BBQ sauce, or simply remove the foil, baste and cook another 15-20 minutes.

*-Liquid Smoke - I use Wright`s Concentrated All Natural Hickory Seasoning Liquid Smoke. It is typically found in the same area as A1 Sauce.

Thanks Lisa W!...

My project for today is to buy a pot that goes in the oven, AND a crockpot! When I heard the words 'crockpot' and 'easy' in the same sentence, my eyes lit up! Easy is definitely for me! : )

KEL I'm too 'chicken' to leave it on

You are not alone! I have this fire 'thing', I think things will spontaneously combust if I am not watching them. Same thing goes for the stove and washing machine!

Continue to be chicken, ladies... my 10 day old dishwasher caught fire yesterday. I always turn it on last thing before I leave for work in the morning, and I consider myself VERY lucky that Patrick was awake (he works nights so he is normally sleeping when I leave) or it would have done some serious damage.
I learned my lesson the hard way. : (

you are really lucky. I won't leave anything on .. i even unplug things when we go away overnight. and when we lose our power I shut off the circuit breaker because my parents had a fire year ago after a blackout

OMG! Thank g-d everyone is ok! I did fail to mention that I only leave my crockpot on when I'm at work while my hubby is home (he doesn't cook). I have pets, so I'd also be too nervous to leave it on all day with no one here. Geez, I have to check 5 times to make sure I unplugged my iron, hot rollers, etc., before I leave for work!
