Does anyone have a really good blender? Like one that chops ice good and really makes nice smoothies, etc? We have one but its kinda crap and I want a heavy duty one!
TIA!

Re: Recommend a good blender
My mom just returned her cuisinart blender, it was really crappy and stopped working, it was only 2 years old. She also had bad luck with her cusinart toaster and coffee maker.
She just bought this breville it was 199 and she said its great so far!
she also got a keurig instead of the other coffee maker she had.
I have a kitchenaid blender, it has a polycarbonate pitcher
My mom has the breville and hers has a glass pitcher which is what she really wanted.

I make a hummus/black bean dip. I have a lot of choppers and none of them were able to chop all the beans so I threw it in the blender and it worked really well. Now I use it for EVERYTHING

I have the Breville and I love it! I used it at work a lot and that's why I registered for it. Makes really good purees/soups and I also chopped ice in it for mixed drinks.
