RELIEVED...but my landlord is officially an idiot!!!

okay so many of u know the mess josh & i had going on these last two days with out apartment. WELL - last night (yes on V-day) DH brought our landlord 2months rent(which was our plan we worked out)..she wasn't home so he left a note for her to call us. Well - she calls us at MIDNIGHT(who does this? i mean - we were up - but still!) and is sweet as pie like nothing ever happened. Josh started asking her about what had happened and that we thought she agreed to our payment plan & she proceeds to tell us 'Oh - well the notice i dropped off is just if u don't stick to the plan we worked out. I understand what u guys are going through and I'm still going to work with you as promised. just keep in mind that if the plan doesn't pan out that this is the next step. You guys have been great tenants & have stuck to the plan so far so there shouldn't really be a problem'.
okay - RELIEVED....but WHY..WHY would u drop a bomb in our mailbox like that & not even make a phonecall if it was 'no big deal & just a warning'???!?!!!
i mean - dont get me wrong - i am SO grateful & thankful that things are okay & feel like a partial weight has been lifted off our shoulders - but thanks for making us freak out & cry & stress & have the 'wth are we gonna do' feeling ESPECIALLY the day before valentines day?! i'm convinced she's officially an idiot lol.now all i can do is shake my head and laugh at the situation.

WTH!!!!!???!??!! I would have reached through the phone and strangled her!! She should have written that in a note accompanying her notice so she didn't give you guys a friggin heart attack!!

besides the stupidity of your landlord... that is great news!! that is so wrong of her to scare you both like that , if she really had no intention of getting you evicted ! it doesnt make any sense, but im glad you are happy and can move on from this!!

Please Please Please, for your own darn good, go back to her one more time and have everything you agreed to put in writting right now!!! have her state that you have an agreement as per the terms, and that she will not evict you or bring proceedings against you unless you do not follow through with the above stated agreement.... Unless your paid up in full now then forget what I said

I totally agree with Heather - it's great that it's all 'resolved' now - but that's verbal and she could turn around and say you never had that conversation. You have to get it all in writing!!! I didn't even know about the eviction notice, but happy to hear it seems to be working out fine!

yep! already did - she's putting it in writing as we speak. i spoke with her this morning. we'll be paid up in full by the end of next month anyway. BELIEVE me - after what happened i am not gonna be laid back about this!

DITTO. what a PITA-people and their daang power trips Glad it worked out but I hope a pigeon pays her a visit when she is on her somwehere important in a nice outfit and no hat!

She called you at midnight?? I feel bad calling people after 9. Thank goodness everything is taken care of. that must have been so scary. Now you just have to deal with the parking ticket. Any updates on that?

nope. i'm going to pick up my paycheck in an hour & then going down there. we'll see i'm guessing i have to pay the amount in full since the woman on the phone told me i had no other option...but that doesn't mean i'm not gonna raise some he** when i go down there i'm bringing all of photographs of the parking area too....freakin' a-holes. ugh.
