You were looking at reception halls. It feels like ages ago. What was the most important thing that made you choose your hall.
I'll go first mine was the vineyard it was stunning. Also, the BM was the nicest guys and made us feel at home!

awhh yea I remember.... But we only looked at a couple places before we picked ours. The Bourne was exactly what we were looking for. It has a water view (not right on the water, but close enough that you can see it in the distance), it has history and a huge old ballroom. The decor wasn't over the top and gaudy. It was like stepping back in time. I LOVED it instantly! And we also loved the gated long driveway to the mansion.

we went to Fox hollow first and we just fell in love with it off the bat... and know that they decorated beautifully for christmas was an extra plus!!

i always wanted a tent wedding...but i also looked at some actual halls...my place was the second I looked at & i immediately knew that was the one! I looked at one more place after just because i had the appt...but was not our style at all.

Mine was the Feeling I got when I first walked in. The Feelings I got when I walked into each room, & finally the room where my reception would be.
It was a Special Feeling, that I just can not explain

I needed mine to serve a certain cuisine and for the right price, of course. I liked that I and most of my guests haven't been to any weddings to this place before, so no one was jaded from it. Also, the manager was great and not pushy; ironically, he quit a month before our wedding and we had to work with the very pushy owner.

As soon as we saw it we knew it was the one. We loved the way everything looked, the views were amazing. I love the NY skyline.

They had our date available, and gave us a great price with lots of extras added on. Also I loved the look of the place and the location, and my husband really loved that they only do one event at a time. So many things!!!

We loved the Mahogany wood in our room, and a free HM to Greece wasn't to shabby either . And besides that, we heard and read lots of reviews about their service and food, and we just knew we would be in good hands

I ONLY went to one place as well; I hosted a work event there last year, went home and told DH (we weren't even engaged at that point): I found the place we're getting married in.
That was it! Got the ring at Christmas, signed the contract in January!!!
I still love the place and luckily its also a restaurant and inn so there will be LOTS of reasons to go back!!!

we wanted a beautiful outside since we had a summer wedding- the swan club has AMAINGGG gardens so that sold us right away!

I wanted JT but we had to make an appt to see CB so we did that first. We walked out knowing that we were going to book but still looked other places.
