Anyone already thinking of renewing their wedding vows...hee hee hee. If so by when and how?

we actually have the option each year to do this on a couple's retreat that we go on with our church they do it outside in a little gazebo..it's really cute
BUT, if u're talkin' renewing vows & having a big party to go along with it - we won't be doing this untill years down the road. I think it'll be really nice & is something to look forward to, but we're only married 2 years...so our vows are still in pretty good shape lol.

I'm thinking of doing this for our one year anniversary. We really wanted an outdoor ceremony, but it rained all day on our wedding. I want to see if the same officiant can come to the beach by our house, and depending on the weather, have the ceremony on the beach with just a few friends and family. I was going to surprize dh with this. Not a big production, no microphones or anything. Then maybe just go to lunch with whoever is there with us. It would all depend on the weather forecast. If they say its not going to be nice, then i'll wait until the year after!

a friend of mine used to renew her vows every year. She would pick different places like Las Vegas (Elvis married them), Washington D.C. (Uncle Sam) married them!

That sounds so interesting! How are you going to superise your DH, on the same day?
I am asking about vow renewals because I feel that our wedding was not as personal as I would have wanted it to be .We really had no time. I am interested in renewing our vows in a more natural setting (beach, garden, etc.) and having a small celebration with close family and friends. I guess we can do that once we hit our 10 yr ann. I also regret not taking better pictures, so I am thinking of doing our day after pics on our 1 yr ann..most likely a trash the dress typeof pic, with a simple gown I wore to change into but never did.

Thats a great idea! I wasn't happy with our pictures either. I might have to find a cheap photographer to take pictures of us after!!
I was thinking of buying an outfit for him and giving it to our friend who live downstairs from us. Then i would have to tell him that i have a surprise for him and for him to just do what our friend tells him to do! I would have them go to the beach (which is just down the block) and some friends and family would be there with our officiant. After he got to them, then i would come out and walk down to him. No music or anything. I would like to find a simple white flowy dress. Now I'm getting excited!

AAAAWWWWW That's sounds marvelous! You dont need music; you have the waves It is a wonderful surprise!!! Thisis very exciting. Can't wait to here all about it.

We have only been married for almost a year. We were talking about renewing our vows for big anniversaries like our 5th, 10th....etc..... The first time that we renew our vows I would like to do it with a couple of close friends and family on the beach where he propsed to me at sunset.

Big ann's usually 10, 20, 30. Otherwise it really isn't so special in my mind. But to each is own.
