Renter's Insurance?

Renter's Insurance?

Does Allstate do that?

We need it for our new place in Cali, which is fine because we wanted to get it awhile ago and just never got around to it (we've got some things we would definitely want to put on there). And we're planning on switching our car insurance too.

My parents have Allstate (which is what my car is currently ensured under since it's in my mom's name from like 23487293847 years ago), and I've always liked it. DH has Geico which I hate with a passion (every time something happens there is the BIGGEST issue).

So yeah...we want to switch to Allstate, but I'm also wondering if anyone has any good experiences from any other firms?

i'm sure allstate probably has it, and you can probably get a good deal on it since you already have a policy w/ them!

ETA: that's so funny that you hate Geico--I have had nothing but AMAZING experiences w/ them!

I think that's amazing. DH has been screwed out of so much money because of them, and has also waited MONTHS to get his car fixed in the past. You must just have really good people on LI.

We have Geico car insurance. They have an affiliation with Liberty Mutual, which we insure our apartment through. It's fairly cheap, we paid a little less than $500 for the year which covers my e-ring and $50,000 worth of stuff (we have a lot of antiques) in Queens.

HTH!

Our renters insurance is with Travelers, I am happy with them. Was broken into a couple of years ago, and they paid out with no problems.

Definitely recommend Liberty Mutual. For both home and cars. But remember the rates for new customers with ALL insurance customers have gone very low. The competition is good! My sil works for Geico and she said there rates have gone down dramatically low which is a plus for new customers. G|L

We have our car & renters insurance with Allstate. We are very happy with them. We actually only got the renters insurance so that my ring would be covered. Coincidentally thats why our premium is so high.
