Repost from BHB - bobby pins and updos

Hi All

I had my hair trial a while ago - and although I liked it, there has been something that has been bothering me. The bobby pins were very very visible. The girl told me that it didn't matter, and there was no way to get the style without the pins showing. Did anyone else have an updo where the pins were visible? I would love to see pics of hair where the pins were showing or not!

What kind of hairstyle? I don't know, if it were me I wouldn't want the bobby pins to be visible.

I had at least 75 boby pins in my hair, but you couldn't see them.

How many pins are we talking about? I have had many updo's through the years and I never had a serious problem with pins. Depending on the updo somtimes you can see one or two peeking out but if you are talking about a huge amount popping through then the maybe try a different hairdresser. What type of do are you going for? Here is a picture of mine on my wedding day.. They can usually hide the pins.

I had a TON of bobby pins in my hair, but you couldn't see them. This picture was probably taken at some point in time in the night...

I had 97 bobby pins in my hair and I don't think you could see any of them

I had about 100 bobby pins and they were not visible at all.

Thank you! Your updo is beautiful! I wanted something like yours for my hair, but my hair is so straight that nothing would take.

i had a billion of them and couldnt seem them. she used the black ones and since my hair is so dark they blended. she did a great job. i guess it depends on your style too.

I had about 200 pins in myhair and you could not see any of them. For my trial though I saw the pins. She said I wouldnt see them on my wedding day. I used Sara Rock.
