Ok, Last year when we planned our wedding I was very upset about the number of people who sent response cards back late. Even worse, many couples did not send them back at all! Well one of these couples is getting married next month. I have not yet sent back the response card. (Oh did I mention that they didnt attend our wedding or ACKNOWLEDGE it in any way). Yes, I just love DH's buddies! Anyway this guy actually emailed my DH today to say that we have not sent back our response card! Well, where was that curtosy for me last year! So... What do I do??? Do I send it back? Do I send a gift? I know for sure I am not going. And yes, I am bitter!

Re: Repost from BHB...OPINIONS PLEASE
you should definitely send it back. Remember how you felt when you didn't get yours back?
Two wrongs don't make a right. Some people just don't understand the whole RSVP process until they go through it themselves.
If I were you, I would send a small gift.

Honestly, I would just send the response back. Just because they were rude doesn't mean you should stoop to their level (as good as it may feel!). No acknowledgement of your wedding at all? I would probably sent a nice congratulatory card to them for theirs and leave it at that. This happened to me as well. It's really annoying, but that's just the way some people are. It takes all kinds!

Thanks girls, I just feel so annoyed. I hate that people can be so rude, and then expect otherwise!

I know! It is so frustrating. I think we all have experienced it though. I had the typical no responses, last minute cancellations, and the oh, so wonderful, 'I forgot your gift, but I'll mail it to you!' I won't hold my breath for that one! Some people are unbelievable!

believe me i know how you feel but you dont want to stoop to their level. Just send it back. YOu are the better more mature person for it. I had a lot of people send theirs back late or not at all. I was so mad... But I got over it..

I'd send it back at the last possible minute before the due date. Send a gift, not monetary though...that way if you buy a nice crystal frame or something you could get it on sale and no one but you knows how much you spent!!!

Re: Repost from BHB...OPINIONS PLEASE
This was one of my big gripes too...there were soooo many people who sent our responses late or NOT AT ALL...I'm sorry, and maybe it's childish...but I will do the same to those people what they did to me...just to let them know how it feels.
And, I would've had DH tell that person who emailed you that you didn't respond that they never responded to your wedding...what's the problem?!? WELL...maybe I wouldn't have had him do that...but, still...the NERVE of these people...
ETS...and DEFINITELY NO GIFT!!!!!!

I agree about sending back the reply (rise above these people!) but I woudn't send a gift.
Personally, I'd only send a gift to a couple that we're pretty close with.

I am totally with you on how you feel... I would have put in the response'So sorry we missed you at our wedding' unable to attend, and send them a canopener or something. Definatly be the bigger person-but you have every right to be pi$$ed off...
