Does anyone have an 'idea' of how much it will cost to have some rooms painted. We need our 2 story foyer and connecting hall, dining room, master bath(vaulted ceiling) and formal living room(2 story vaulted ceiling) I need all these rooms painted and the trim done and the formal liv ng room needs the ceiling painted also. Any ideas would be so helpful so I won't be shocked.

We paid $2500 for the ENTIRE house...the guy did an awesome job. =) So don't think if its cheap its bad. He was referred to us. John Politis is his name....not sure where I put his number!
Good Luck!

When my DH had a business like that, it probably would have cost you $3-5K depending on how much repair work needed to be done to the walls, i.e. spackeling, sanding, etc. It also depends on the crew the contractor has and how long it's going to take.

Wow all these prices are high for me....I know people who could do it for 150 a day. Then again I come from a construction family

good painters can be bad painters can glop up a wall
the apartment we moved into was 'professionally painted' and it was such a horrible job. we literally had to sand the glops off of the wall prior to priming!
We're very good painters.... so it's always been worth our while to spackle and paint ourselves. $300 in supplies and 18 hours sweat equity = perfect silver grey 1 bedroom apartment with no glops or bad patch jobs......
I'm certain labor for that job would have been over 1k.......
