I am looking for trustworthy and reliable cleaning person to clean my home in Farmingville. If any has any recommendations please pass them on to me. I am having a hard time finding someone who is reasonable priced all the big maid services want to charge $250 for the first cleaning!

I don't know if the people I use go into Suffolk, but check out Craigs List. I found a cleaning service, fully bonded and insured. Two girls come and clean my house top to bottom for $80. Spotless, they even do my dishes and laundry. I'm sure there are other companies like mine posted under Suffolk.

I use a company called Big Brother Cleaning. They send 2 or 3 men and usually clean my 3 bedroom house in about an hour. I used to use Merry Maids but they were way too expensive and didn't do as good a job.

I paid $400 for 4 hours for a cleaning woman to come who my friend recommended and I was not impressed!!!

Thats alot of $$. When I've had people in the past, I paid $15 an hour.

Merry Maids quoted me $120 p/hr for a post construction cleaning (vacant house). I thought that price was outrageous. There was nothing to move or work around - just a vacant house with some dust from all the construction.

yeah I was robbed. She told me she was going to bring in a bunch of people to help so I wrote a looong list because I was having a huge party the next day and everything didnt get done!
I wrote things like clean fingerprints from hallway wall, wipe picture frames, water plants... I was very detailed.. I couldnt believe in 4 hours they couldnt get to it.. for $400 I figured they would!!
I will not hire them again!

They charge $75 per hour but since they send 2 or more people, my house is done in one hour. Merry Maids used to charge me twice as much and they weren't as good. I do make a point of telling them exactly what I want them to do and they always do a good job.
