Restaurants

It was DH's birthday yesterday and we're celebrating Friday... I took the afternoon off and we're going mini golfing (if it doesn't rain!) at that place near the Deer Park train station because we've alwaysss wanted to go there and we live out in Coram... but my question is are there any good restaurants around there for dinner? Or any between there and Coram that you know of? TIA!

Re: Restaurants

You can go South to Babylon. You have the Argyle Cafe or The Carriage House. The Argyle is right on 231 so you could take that south from Deer Park.

How nice are you looking for?

Doesn't matter really but DH hates dressing up, so anywhere with a dress code is out bc he's picky.

Re: Restaurants

i like the italian restaurant in the deer park outlets. its pretty casual, but i think the food is good. and if you want, you can walk around the outlets or go to the movies too

happy bday to your DH!

Papa Joe's in Deer Park is pretty good for Italian, it's on Commack road, kind of near the outlets. Also Ludlow Bistro on DPA across the street from the Waldbaum's is good, it's more nouveau cuisine but not super fancy. For a really casual Italian restaurant there's Pizzaola in North Babylon going south on DPA. Then if you want to go to Babylon village I've been to Horace and Sylvia's which was pretty good, and I've been to a shower at the Argyle Grill, and they were good as well. I used to like the Babylon Carriage House, but we had a really bad experience there waiting for an hour and a half the whole time staring at the empty table they eventually sat us at, so I flipped out on them and we left, so I won't go back, nor recommend it to anyone.
