returning wedding gifts
I've been married for a couple months now and we just moved into our new apt together. I don't have THAT much room for frames, bowls etc. we got as presents for our wedding (not shower).I feel kinda bad exchanging these things for something I may prefer. I like the stuff and it has sentimental value, bowls saying Bless This Home, that I know the person specifically chose with good intentions cuz I liked the pattern.
Will I feel bad down the road exchanging this stuff? I can be overly sentimental and would like to say, 'Oh, this bowl I got from so and so from my wedding. To be honest, I returned a vase from my cousin and got one that I like a lot better and I don't feel all that bad. Also, what if they come over and don't see it? :)
BTW, this is stuff that wasn't on my registry.
Any thoughts out there?

Re: returning wedding gifts
I'd return it. So many of my guests didn't even remember themselves what they got us so I doubt they'd notice if it wasn't there. I do remember a few peoples items and remember oh so and so gave me this and so and so gave me that but I can't remember them all. So why not trade-in and up?
