RIP Bada Bing

RIP Bada Bing

Well ladies, I'm very sad to report that this past week has not been a good week in Bearsbabe's house! First it started with my blue fish dying, then Saturday Bada (the big fat goldfish) died, then on Wednesday the yellow fish died and the big bully b*stard was eating her and now this morning I wake up to find Bing dying on the bottom of the bowl. I think Bing missed Bada. So now the only fish left is that big bully b*stard, happily swimming around and destroying the tank!

The thing about Bada and Bing is that we had bought them to replace the fish that died when we were 'fish sitting' them for our friends. They were the cutest and fattest goldfish I ever saw. We ended up keeping them because they told us to. I used to talk to them every morning and now, no more!

Not for nothing, but Joe fixed this aquarium to 'relax me and calm me down' and HELLO since we've had it, how many fish have died already???
Oh well, you would think me being a pisces would be a good thing!!!

So I ask you all to bow your heads and have a moment of silence for my beloved fish!!!

I'm sorry about your fish. That's not relaxing at all! Anyway could it be they are overfeed? Or the water is not good?

Anyway I'm so sorry!

I am so sorry about Bada and Bing!! I really think that some of these goldfish are definitely cannabalistic, in college, my roommates and I each had a goldfish, and my friend's fish- Ariel, ATE all of the rest of ours!!

It is sad when they go, what great names, you'll have to get a Bada and Bing II to carry on the legacy!

Awwww, I'm sorry to hear. Like michele31 said, a fish's life is never long enough. Take comfort in the fact that they are now together, happily swimming their days away in fish heaven.

I've had a tough time with my aquarium, too. Just can't seem to keep fish alive for more than a month or two. It's frustrating, but it's also sad...and definitely NOT relaxing. I really get attached to the fish!

DH calls me guppy killer

Thanks Guys!!! I didn't tell DH that the fish died, I don't want to depress him at work!!! He's constantly fussing over the tank like it's his baby or something!! Oh well, we'll just have to start at square one and this time it's NICE fish in that tank and not those nasty sicchlids (sp?) that he wanted!!!

I think this is a sign to you and Joe Deb...stay away from fish...get a plant or something that does not require much taking care of

Re: RIP Bada Bing

Oh Shamma, Joe is the green thumb!! And that's another thing that died this week -- THE CACTUS!! How the he!! does that die? It lives in the desert for cryinoutloud!!!

We're just having a bad week! Oh! And my poor baby sprained his ankle at work, so you KNOW how that is. I don't know how your hubby is, but mine is the WORST patient and the biggest BABY when he's sick!! God help me.....

Sorry about he your fish, a girl here at work has a beautiful 5 gallon tank on her desk and early this week her 'beta' died, she was so upset she called in sick yesterday!!!

p.s. not 100% sure if it was because of the fish

I would run out to Petco and buy new ones before he even gets home. He'll never know

No can do Michele! He's home already since he 'sprained' his ankle!!! Actually, he's home 2-3 hours before me everyday! Just got off the phone w/him and he said the fish Bing is still alive, but barely!

Re: RIP Bada Bing

Awwww! poor fishies! We had a bad bunch of fish in our pond that died one right after the other. Have the store test your water. If the water tests ok, try another store! I worked in a pet store and they are not all created equal. In my case, it turned out the store was selling us sick fish. When we switched stores, all was fine. The fish are still alive and are 'hibernating' now that the pond is frozen. They still come up to the top when we have a warm spell and the pond thaws a little.
