RIP Sniffles

Thank you girls for all your prayers and good wishes.

Unfortunately, I had to make the decision to put Sniffles down today. She would have been 12 in July so she lived a long, happy life.

I will miss her more than anyone can possibly imagine.

I am off to Disney tomorrow until Tuesday. DH is going to be home alone....he's very upset and doesn't know how to stay in the house without her.

I know that she is hopping around like a young bunny again up in Heaven. Thanks again....

Oh, I am so sorry Gina! It is so hard to lose a pet. You are in my thoughts.

I cannot believe that she is gone. I wanted her to live forever.

The only bright spot in all of this is that she didn't suffer. She was fine until yesterday. She went downhill very quickly. Rather than having the vet put her through a battery of tests and stress her out by keeping her in the hospital, I decided to let her go peacefully. She deserved that. Even if we could have helped her recover from this bout, the vet said she was so old that we'd probably be going through the same thing in another couple of weeks or months. She was a wonderful pet.

You have no idea what a personality a little 3 lb bunny could have!

Gina I'm crying right now for you. Having to put down a pet is the saddest thing, and I'm so sorry you had to do this right before your trip. I truly understand your love for Sniffles, as Mike's mom has a bunny. She had two, until Flopsy got really sick last year and she had to put him down as well. Murdock will be 9 in September. We got him a bunny stuffed animal to keep him company after we had to put Flops down. He grooms it, it's really cute, but sad at the same time.

Thank you all. DH and I have done a lot of crying today but we know we made the right decision. She brought so much joy to our lives - I hope she's getting big belly and ear rubs in Heaven right now.

She came into my life at a time when I needed her. She was with me through all of the changes in my life and she was one of the reasons why I knew DH was the one - she LOVED him and she never liked anyone I dated!

I am glad to escape to Disney in the morning - I think I need to get away and heal.
