We're taking a family trip to Positano in May/June. We'll be spending a week in Positano but we're flying out of Rome, so our last night will be spent there.
Any recommendations for a nice hotel? There will be 6 of us - I know 4 in a room is tough in Italy, so we may need 3 rooms of 2?

I definitely recommend you stay away from the De La Ville Intercontinental. It is at the top of the Spanish Steps. Great location, horrible/overpriced hotel. If you're in the higher-budget range, try the Hassler (also at the top of the Spanish Steps). What an amazing vacation! Have fun! I want to go back!!!

On our last night in Italy we stayed at an American style hotel near the airport (sheraton golf?)...its not in the city but they have shuttles that take you there, have an entertainment complex next door and a very short ride to airport the next morning. They have large rooms so it might be a good idea for you.
On our first night we stayed at the Hotel Ripa which is in the Travestre (sp?) neighborhood of Rome...nice rooms buts very small so I would stay away from it if you have 4 people.

We were in Rome for 10 days and stayed at the Colonna Palazzo. It's very reasonable, nice accomodations ... great location. right on the via del Corso, middle of everything. They do not have a website, but I can tell you that it was a wonderful stay. fm me for more info!!
