Royal Hideaway/Excellence/ Iberostar Grand Parisio
Hi Girls,
Need your excellent advice! So DH and I are leaving for Riveria Maya next month...flights already booked...all we need now is to figure out where to stay. It's either going to be
Royal Hideaway- which i heard was beautiful but there aren't too many acitvities available?
Excellence- Bigger resort, also very nice but more to do?
Iberostar Grand Parisio- New resort and is supposed to be really really nice but that;s about all i know about it.
Anyone been to any of these and can give me a good recommendation. It's really stressing me out for some reason! I don't know which to choose!

we are going to the Royal in playa del carmen. FMIL is a TA and said other agents there and customers highly recommend it. she also looked at reviews on trip advisor. It suppose to be beautiful. all inclusive, adults only.

Went to Excellence for our HM, we were disappointed. I hear great things about RH.

i stayed at an Iberostar property in DR--and I have to say from people I spoke with who had traveled to other Iberostar resorts---they are known for their amazing service! We were very happy with them and I think you can't go wrong with an Iberostar resort
i would probably choose between Iberostar or RH

I got married at Iberostar Lindo which is a sister resort to Grand. I have seen pics of Grand inside and it is gorgeous. I have also stayed in Iberostar Mayan. I have always had/heard an amazing experience with Iberostar GL

I'm going to the Royal from Aug 3-9...I just miss you! (I presume you're going for your HM).
LOOOOOVE Excellence. We kinda wished we could have returned for our 1 year trip. The food was amazing, I loved everything about it. Check out my wedding review for more details. And tripdavisor.com is great to check on reviews!

Definately stay at the Iberostar Grand. we have stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo twice which is a sister hotel to the grand and loved it. There is nothing we complained about. we are going to riviera maya next year and planning to stay at the grand.

DH and I went to Royal Hideaway for our honeymoon. LOVE LOVE LOVED it there!!! It was so romantic and relaxing, just what we needed for a honeymoon after so much craziness with the wedding.
We've recommended it to two of our friends who went recently and they came back with rave reviews also.
The food and service is amazing. They have daily activities there, but mostly go if you just want to relax and be pampered. on a side note, you can borrow their bikes and ride into Playa Del Carmen to walk around the town, or just ride around in Playacar and take in the scenary.

We just got back from the Excellence last week and loved every minute of it. The only thing I can think of is that the food wasn't 'oh my god amazing.' It was good, but not out of this world fantastic. So if you're a foodie, I would suggest some place else. Otherwise, we were thrilled with the Excellence!!!!

I stayed at Royal Hideaway for our honeymoon two weeks ago & it was pure heaven. I will try to post pics if I can

We went to Excellence for our HM, and liked it, but didn't LOVE it. There were many activities. Hideaway was our second choice because it was more expensive. Iberostar is great.

I passed by the Iberostar Grand & we met a couple that was staying there,. You will love it as well. That is a gorgeous one too. We like the Iberostar hotel brands, they do a good job.
