it depends upon the calligrapher.
mine wanted it in a word label format, but others may want it in excel. Hold off on writing up a doc until you selected your calligrapher....

I made a table in Word...
In one box was outer envelope, and in the other was inner envelope

I did an excel spreadsheet...this worked very well, and also helped me keep track of my guests RSVPS!
