RP from 08... Issues with BILs.. How would you feel

My mom just reminded me about two issues that happened at the wedding that didnt sit well with me..

Let me give you some background info...

DH (oooh first time I used that!!!) had his two brothers as his best men. The younger one (lets call him BM2) was the primary one, because at the time, he was more responsible than the older one (BM1)

Well.. BM1 did not go upstate with DH and his friends for his Bachelor party because he couldn't afford it.. THey stayed at a friends cabin and bought food at costco.. How much would it have really cost.

DH asked BM2 to do the speech. Last week he asked him if he had worked on it and he hadnt, he was going to wing it...

At the Rehearsal Dinner, when we gave out the gift, neither of them, along with his cousin, gave me a hug or kiss on the cheek to thank me... my girls and his friends who were groomsmen did...

Fast foward to the wedding...
BM2 gives the speech, and in it says something to the extent that Brian could've done better than me.. The kid is 18, probably decided to still wing it after DH told him not too, and could've fumbled up the words. Okay, so whatever.. but when he was done, he gave DH a hug and not me....My whole family was FUMING!

THEN on the sign in board I made, BM1 wrote...' I shouldn't have to write here since I'm your brother. But seriously, I'm proud of you even if I don't show it.. And I still have your back if Megan dumps you.'
***!?!?! I want to hang this up and this totally ruins all the other nice things written on the board.

I told DH that I feel like his brothers don't like me and he says they do, but that he is fed up with them as well... I seriously want nothing to do with them and we've only been married 3 days!

How would you feel?

Im sorry hun. Whatever was said in his speech sounds rude...he probaly was meaning for it to be funny and at 18 doesent know any better...but I'd be upset. The comment on the board is just stupid. I would be mad BUT these are your BILs now so you have to be civil. If they ever say anything like this again I would expect DH to explain these comments are unacceptable. I dont know if there more that you can do ya know ?

That was very immature of him hes 18 and Prob trying to be funny/sarcastic. Have DH talk to them and see whats going on. Sorry your going through this

i agree with the other girls...this guy sounds stupid even for 18 and doesnt understand the etiquette for a wedding....especially doing the BM TOAST!!! i cant believe he wrote that on your sign in board!! is there anyway to white it out?? or cross it out?

i would have DH talk to him about what he wrote on the sign in board. that it wasnt funny at all and he was being inconsiderate and a plain jacka$$ when he wrote it
