My sister was set to get married in May of '09. Well...she was contacted today by her RH telling her that they were canceling all '09 weddings because of construction. They are refunding her money and everything but now she has no where to get married. She booked her church, DJ and a few other things already and doesnt want to change the date. She has called a few places to see if they are available on her date but they are all booked or she has too few people. Jericho Terrace is available but that is where I got married in March and she doesnt want to go to the same place, she is going to look any way but would like her 'own' place. We also called Crest Hollow. Has anyone been married there or been to a wedding there recently? I would appreciate some feedback for her. I know she has time still but I know how quick halls go and I dont want her to get screwed because of this.
Thanks Ladies!!

Oh that's horrible. Where was she supposed to get married? I was a Crest Hollow bride and have nothing but great things to say about my wedding day. They did an amazing job for us. You can check out my review HTH!

There is a very pretty room in the Crest Hollow I think it is all window and it hold a smaller amount of guests. Look into that.
What about the Harbor Club or Creasent beach club? It is Pretty on the water.
Crest Hollow is very nice and do a great wedding! If you don't mind more than one affair at once, it's a great place to get married. If you want more of an intimate vibe, then I also second the Old Field Club!!

OFC is a great location. I would also recommend looking my hall, Danfords in Port Jeff. They have renovated everything in the past year...ballroom, restaurant/lounge, and half of their hotel rooms. It's a beautiful setting on the water with plenty of things to do in the Village for OOT guests.

MHO---I don't care for the crest hollow and maybe b/c I've had to many work affairs there (no one jump on me! lol)....there is a lot of weddings that happen in one day & that's not my fav. thing. The food FOR WORK affairs has not been that great nor has the service but again it could be b/c it was for work. I did attend a wedding there a few years back and wasn't thrilled.
I def. second harbour club, Old Field Club, Milleridge (but I'm biased), what about watermill? Westbury manor? Woodbury Country Club?

My friend just got back from a wedding at the Watermill last wknd and she said it was not good I trust her judgment. Just to name a couple of complaints from her was the FOOD and Liquor. Apparently they only had one type of Merlot wine in stock and that is not what she drinks, there was no variety anywhere and the quality was rotten.I am sure the Bride paid for top shelf too
