Russo's on the Bay (re-post from BHB)

I am posting this information for all you Brides to be and anyone else who may be able to help.
I was supposed to get married on 7/25/03, with the reception to be at Russo's on the Bay. We are no longer getting married and if anyone knows someone who needs it - Russo's is available. If any of you are familiar with the place, you know how far in advance you need to book and how great it is. If the date goes unbooked, we lose the money we have given already. (it doesn't even have to be a wedding reception - any type of party)
Please let me know if anyone is interested. Feel free to ask me any questions.
Thanks in advance for you help.

I am not interested in the hall, but I just wanted to say that I am so sorry you had to cancel your wedding. I hope you are able to move on and heal.

Claud - Thank you very much. I am actually the groom - the bride is the one who broke it off. My neighbor utilizes this site and she suggested that I post it to all the LIW girls. I am hoping time will help heal.

Thank you all for well wishes. Unfortunately I upset someone on the BHB board. I really do not know what I said wrong, I was just looking for some help.

Thank you all again.

I saw that going on over there. Sorry you had to deal with additional drama - you have enough going on now.

She means well (I think), but comes off as a little harsh. And once she feels like she's being attacked, you better duck

I hope your ex is taking on the financial burden, since she called it off. Again, sorry you're going through this.

You didn't say anything wrong. That is just the DRAMA QUEEN! Ignore. She gets off on this stuff (being mean) and she gets more off on people responding to her comments (like I am doing now). Will I ever learn? :)

Sorry for your situation. Is there anyway maybe Russo's can kind of advertise that they have the date open and help you spread the word?

A friend of mine is going through the same thing now - she called off her 5/03 wedding @ East Wind and they are trying to keep all the $$ -she gave them more than 1/2! She's been trying to find someone to take the day as well... good luck and we'll all keep our ears open!

I'm so sorry to hear about this - You should definitely try posting on the New York board on www.weddingchannel.com. You might have more luck there -
