hey,
for our e-party we didn't register as we didn't want gifts.. we justed wanted everyone to come and have fun... but we ended up with a lot of cards filled with money! that was a great surprise... but then we got a few gifts that were not monetary... One gift was sooooooo dumb... that when I opened the gift.. FH &I were like huh???? w t f???!!! anyways... it wasn't about the how much they spent or for the fact that they got us gift... but for the fact that they went and picked up any ole' thing just so they can say that they bought us a gift ... I mean they picked up something that sooo useless.. it was useless b/c we already have 2 (their gift that thye gave us was a whopping $9.99 from macy's).... well fast forward to their e-party.. we gave them $100 cash! I'm sure when they got our gift.. they must'e thought to themselves.. '$hit... we gave them a crmmy gift'... and these people were very close friends and they're in our BP?? It would've been better if they didn't give a gift us at all. I don't believe in giving USELESS gifts at all.. I love giving gift certs. or money...
But you give what you want.. even if you give them far more than what they gave you... I'm sure if you give them more than what they gave you... that would let them know that the next time they attend a wedding or any other event.. they shouldn't stiff people or be cheap-o's.
