how sad was everyone moving out? i am leaving my house 2morrow and i have been cleaning out my stuff all week. i have been in and out of the house for months at a time for the past three years, but i never had to clean everything out. i am happy to see DH b/c we havent seen each other in 3 weeks (immigration reasons), but moving out is so hard. i think my breaking point was finding my toothfairy pillow....

Re: sad moving out...
Well. I lived with DH for 3 years before we got married, and I lived with my cousin before that, so I wasn't soo sad to leave that apartment.
But...
In January 2005, my parents sold my childhood home, that I had lived in my whole live, that was HOME (it even said HOME in my cell phone). DH and I had taken off work to help my parents move and when the movers came and started packing stuff, I was sooo sad. We left and I cried my eyes out, and I mean hysterical sobs!
It is really hard leaving that part of yourself behind, that safety of HOME. But it isn't so bad living with DH
Its funny, DH's father passed away in 1998 and his step mother always wants to put her house on the market, but she doesn't b/c the two of them had so many plans for it and she feels like she wants to finish all of that stuff. Actually, DH and I have discussed buying that house so it could stay in the family.

Re: sad moving out...
Think of it as a new adventure!!! I'm now 8 hours away from my parents. It gets easier, but it's alright to be sad.
