sad news/ good news.. just lots of news!!* UPDATE*

Just an update on what is going on over here lately....

Last night, I went over to my mom's house and signed the papers to put it on the market... I was hysterical.

I can't believe I have to do this. I don't want anyone to have my house.

I can't talk about that anymore...

But on a happier note, today was mom's first day of chemo and she did great!!! She is looking forward to getting a wig next week!! SHe is also going to take classes on how to put on makeup and scarfs on your head...

She is actually in a FANTASTIC mood!! COuld be that she was out with her friend until 1am last night!!!! She went out to dinner at 6!!! I couldn't sleep because I was waiting for her to get home!! At 12:30, I got dressed and said to Deacon, that's it I am checking to make sure her car is still at her friend's house!!! I was sooo worried!! She didn't even call!!! SO we did a drive by and sure enough she was there!! I called the house and they were giggling and like oh we lost track of time...

Seriously... what the h e l l? When did I become the parent???Ugh!!

UPDATE****

Listen to this one!!!! My mom wants to ask the nurses if she can partake in some sort of smoking during chemo!!!

She is also planning on going away to that new casino in PA next month!!

I can't even imagine how it feels to lose a part of yourself but I'm so happy that your mom is viewing the glass as half full. She will make it through this! My prayers are with you!

i am so sorry dana about the house..i know its hard but just know someone is going to have a lifetime of memories just like you did and its because you and ur fam filled that house with love for all those years

as for mom..glad to hear she is feeling well and hell yea to her going out on the town!!!!! next time we go with her

So sorry to hear about the house...my parents sold the ouse i grew up in a few years ago and no they are selling this one and it stinks...hang in there...it will all work out!

Glad to hear mom is doing so well!! That is WONDERFUL news!!! What at champ!

Dana, I choose to focus on the positive of this post!

How amazing is your mom??? It seems like she has a wonderful outlook on everything and I LOVE the fact that she was out so late at night! It seems as though despite everything going on she is LOVING LIFE and that's the way everyone should be! I think we all lose track of that at times. Good for her!

OMG.. Gina she totally would come!!! SHe is NOT a normal mom!!! ALL my friends call her mom, and whenever I have people over, they always ask for her!!

You would friggin love her!!!

Glad your mom is doing well and feeling happy. It's actually pretty common that after you decide on a treatment plan, you feel calm and do pretty well emotionally during treatment.

There is sometimes a 'hit the wall' postpartum-ish thing that happens to some women after.
