Scanners...shamma, sonicstef, anyone???

Original post by NIHA

My friend just got this scanner/printer/copier combo from Lexmark. It's only $99.99, so I'm wondering if it's good or no. When I went to Bestbuy.com, none of the other combos were this cheap. Is there a catch? I desperately need a scanner for my weddings pics (8 months tomorrow!) and my sonogram pics. We also need a new printer.

You can buy photo paper at pretty much any store that sells office supplies. The quality is quite good but the paper and ink are very expensive (as with any printer).

I got Photoshop Elements (which is so much easier than Photoshop proper) with my digital camera so I didnt have to buy it. But its well worth the price...I use it ALL the time!

I have this (or something that looks just like it):

Sha, I bought 100 sheets of Kodak paper from Costco for like $20 and I print a lot of pics and I haven't gone through the paper yet. They come out great but my printer is pretty good and prints quality pics.

I use a regular printer yes.

Look at the program that you download with your digital camera, mine is Camedia since I have an Olympus digital, I think you can print, edit, and format pics from there although I do it in Photoshop. To buy Photoshop is expensive but you don't need that to print out your pics.

When you say program that you download w/your camera, what do you mean? Do different cameras have different programs? Should I have gotten a program w/my camera? I'm so lost!!

Most cameras usually offer a disk or something with the camera. Did you not get one with yours??? We do not use the one that came with our camera, we use Photoshop, so no biggie
