What are Brads? I see these things everywhere, but not sure what they are for or how to use them!

You can use them to attch things to the pages. They are flat on the top (which is sometimes nicer then an eyelet that has the hole in the center) and have two prongs on the back. You can poke that through the page (or use an exacto knife for a cleaner cut) and then spread the prongs out on the back.

Thanks christine.. i guess im going to have to see it being done cause i would have no idea how to do it, does it go through the page?

yes, they go through the paper. They work like paper fasteners.
