Scrapbooking Show - FYI

I just found out that there is going to be a Scrapbooking Expo on LI in August. The dates are 8/22 & 8/23 at the Huntington Hilton. As soon as I have more info I will post. My mom and I went to one in NJ last year and had a great time. There are losts of vendors, lots of make and takes, there is a Friday night Cropping party, loads of classes na dmany giveaways! I plan on going on Friday during the day!

I saw an ad for this in one of my mags but I dont think I can take Friday off to go. Can you just go on Friday nite or Saturday? What goes on at these things? I am so curious:D

You can buy a pass for the whole weekend (Fri and Sat), just the crop night, just for Sat. There are many differenet options.

The Expo is like a convention. There are many booths setup and people are selling things, showing off the newest tools, people from the industry are there, from the different magazines. I bought so much stuff the last time I was there that I needed 2 shopping bags!! LOL

Ths classes seem to fill up really quickly but I heard they are really good.

DH has me thinking it wouldn't be a bad thing to take Friday off to go to both days:D

Are you guys planning going both days & to the friday nite crop? or just one or the other?

I was probably going to take off work on Friday and just go the one day.. i mainly want to go to the expo... i dont think i will do the midnight crop.. plus i will preregister for the friday and if i dont see everything ill come back on saturday..

Im bringing my cousin, we should all meet up for breakfast or something!

Thanks for the info - I won't be able to take any time off work to go, so maybe I'll head over Sat AM. I'd LOVE to sign up for a few workshops - I need to get some tips!!

I assume the term 'crop' just means to get together and work on a page together?!
