Have any of you ladies heard of this being a legitimate job?
I think this would be a awesome job to have! But I personally have never met anyone that does this, so I was wondering if this is a 'too good to be true' job.
TIA!

Ive never met anyone either. I feel like its a part time thing for extra money though not a full time job. Could be wrong.

Re: Secret Shoppers
the money really isn't that great untill u work ur way up to a big company. they usually pay u a anywhere from $7-$10 an hr - and then u get to keep the products that u purchase.
something else to look into that is good money is FOCUS groups...something fun and they usually pay straight cash...i have a friend who used to do this and rake in the dough! :)
also - being a buyer would be a dream, but i'm pretty sure u need some degrees in fashion merchandising and stuff..

Re: Secret Shoppers
I was a secret shopper for about a year, maybe two. The company I worked for posted jobs on their website based on town, and you picked the jobs you wanted - but if you picked it, you had to do it. I went to dunkin donuts, staples mainly ...
at DD I'd have to order a coffee and make note of the way the store looked, how the bathroom was stocked, if the outside of it was dirty, if the cashier was dressed in the way the description said ... etc. it was a TON to remember and you can't take notes of course. (when I checked out the bathroom I did jot some things down) once they called me because something wasn't quite right - i guess I didn't remember something properly and they thought i was lying about going to the store
mine paid $7 for a job and then they covered whatever I bought. not really worth my time so I stopped. i made like $32 a month doing it if you wanted to do A LOT of them you could, and you could also have gone wherever to do them - but I did the ones I could on my way home from work, etc.

Re: Secret Shoppers
my friend used to do them for fancy upscale restaurants. They didn't pay much at all, but the 3 course meal for 3 was free! I was lucky to be her guest a couple of times!
