SHAMMA NEEDS furniture HELP

I would love to get some websites with great living room and dining room sets. Please do share. We are not trying to break the bank either so let these be affordable places. If you have any stores that you have visited and they have great prices please feel free to share as well. Thanks all

Re: SHAMMA NEEDS furniture HELP

Whats your style? What exactly are you looking for?

Seamans always has really cheap stuff...not great quality but good enough if you are not looking for long term pieces.

Ikea has some nice clean and sleek styled stuff without beign too out there. Cheap as can be. Again, not for the long haul really.

You know my favorite Pottery Barn but more expensive.

SHAMMA NEEDS furniture HELP

Hey Shamma!

Furniture shopping is my thing!!!

Some of my favorite places to go are Thomasville, Ethan Allen and Domain. All three stores are a bit pricey, but if you are thinking QUALITY this is the way to go. These stores have a combination of traditional and modern, but if you are more on the traditional side, try Ethan Allen - if modern, try Domain and Thomasville is inbetween.

Also, close by where I live, there is a store called Corner Furniture. I went in there and found that they have some really quality furniture!

Here are sites:

http://www.ethanallen.com/ea/com.ethanallen.ecom.HomePageServlet

http://thomasville.com

http://www.corner-furniture.com

I also agree with Sonicstef - you can get some decent things at places like Seaman's, Levitz, Jennifer Convertible etc.

I hope I helped!

Re: SHAMMA NEEDS furniture HELP

Shamma, I just ordered some furniture from the North Carolina Furniture company. They have a showroom on 21st a couple of blocks from my job. I am so happy with them.

I ordered Ashley furniture- A sofa, loveseat, cofee table and two end tables.

Great customer service and timely delivery (less than six weeks)

Re: SHAMMA NEEDS furniture HELP

I really like Macy's for furniture. I have never had a problem with them and the quality is top noch. I bought a 3 piece living room set from them in red! Love it! I paid around 2,000. It was so worth it. We needed something firm and stylish! The material is microfiber.

I like Pottery Barn and Thomasville too ... but unfortunately those stores are a bit more pricey. I do like Fortunoff's as well.

Good luck!

Re: SHAMMA NEEDS furniture HELP

I'll second Macys....I actually wish that it wasn't that good quality so I would have an excuse to buy new (Its way too big for our new place)...but I only use 2/3 pieces now...

We have a coffee table from Levitz...that has survived 5 moves!!! and I was just saying to John...that is one great coffee table...2 days later...a screw falls out...not a big deal...but funny timing...
