Sherwood Triart

Hi Ladies,
If you used Sherwood Triart can you please post or FM me your feedback. Did you add the photojournalism package? I'd love to hear all your comments. I am thinking about booking them, but I still have some more photographers to meet with.

I used them and am incredibly happy with their work. We had Earl and Bob as our photographers and they were so much fun to be around the day of the wedding. I am pretty shy and it was important for me to be comfortable. We did get the photojournalistic package and I got most of my favorite shots from them. We got about +1200 proofs in total.

Also, Earl did our engagement pictures and they were amazing also.

After reading Sonicstef's post about the fact that their photojournalistic pictures looked posed, I will have to agree to some extent. Yes, we did get some B&W that looked posed (but I wound up really liking a lot of them - they were posed but not dramatic looking) but a lot that were very natural. I think they gave a good mix.

By the way - Sonicstef - where were you when I was planning my wedding. You know so much about photography. Can I hire you to help me put together my album? hee hee

I used Sherwood Triart .. I loved their pics when we saw them, but I booked my photographer before finding this board. I wouldn't have gone with them after. We had Bob for our wedding and he did a good job but I didn't get the photojournalistic package and not near as many pics as Margaret. I also agree with Stef ... they were expensive!
Oh well!

Margaret ... did you ask Sherwood if you can get that collage!

Thanks margeret...I dont know that much at all..I just know what I like.

For me (and this is a very personal thing), I wanted photos that made me think 'wow, I didnt even realize the photographer was there no less took a photo of that special moment' and my photographers definitely did that. (only a few of my photographers are posed) Of course with that comes the variable that you dont get the exact posing you want in every shot but I was willing to sacrifice that for the former.

I have no regrets that I used them but they are very expensive we I see what other spent.

Cira - we meet with them in February to do album so I am going to ask about the collage then. I will be very upset if they give us a hard time with all the money we spent. They are very easy to deal with so I am hoping it will not be a big deal. Like I said before, if they don't offer it I think they should let us do it.
