shopping..

i need some clothes.. more like I need one really, really nice dress for DH's spring party at work and some summer casuals as well.. they usually have big parties, but this year its verrrryyy low key, it almost didn't happen but then the staff offered to pitch in or whatever.. anyway..

i checked out j.crew victoria secret .. it was more like ehhh.. i'm tired of ransacking macy's alllllllllllll the time.. its like when i go shopping, i go straight to macy's and if i don't find anything there.. then its back to square one.. but this time is different, I know DH is looking forward to it.. i don't want it to be flashy.. anywhere i should look.. yeeeeeeeelppppppp

I love NY&Co dresses. Which Macys do you go to? I have much better finds at the Herald Square location.

NY&Company are actualy having really great sales. They have great dresses online, and in the stores they are having a spend $75 get $30 off , or spend $150 and get $60 off. I think that's pretty great. I have a coupon emailed to me, if they don't have anything on the site I can send it to you. :)

i usually go the queens center or roosevelt if I am visitng the in-laws.. i guess part of the reason is that i keep going towards black.. and i am on a mission to add some real color.. or even some whites into my wardrobe..

I LOVE JcPenney. Depending on how much you want to spend, you can find some nice clothes there. With the Spring Season you will find alot of pretty dresses in lots of colors.

I am actually going to the mall this weekend to take a look at what they have so Ican find something for Easter. I am going to NY&C first though, I can't wait.

I also used to like Charlotte Russe when I was skinnier and could fit into their clothing lol

I also like Express and H&M ! OMG....LOVEEE H&M. I have a beautiful dress from them that I can't fit into anymore..it's so cute though and I can't get rid of it lol

i need to go to the store as well.. part of my issue when i go shopping is that i am petite and i don't have curves, i have a boyish figure and tummy so you get the picture.. lol not dress friendly.. so pants, shorts all worked well for me.. but now we're thinking of going away for our 1 year.. and i need to look cute.. part of the problem is that, i was such a tomboy growing up, and even in hs and college.. i was not into dresses and stuff.. pjs and jeans did the job.. and now its hard.. i have to unteach myself and go back to basics.. very hard..

yeah department stores and malls just annoy me and i never really find anything there.

You live in queens, how about going on Austin street. Theres a bunch of boutiques with great stuff. Try Maiko, O boutique, both of these stores have TONS of cute but casual summer dresses, also busstop, and just walk up and down and walk into different stores. Theres also more typical stores like Banana republic, Ann Taylor, VS, they also opened up a NY & Co., more recently.

Also in astoria there is this great vintage style boutique, its called Mimi's closet.
