I would like to buy new bedding... sheets, comforter, the works! I want something that will hold up well, and I like 300 thread count sheets. Any suggestions where to look?

Re: Shopping time!
most linen and dept stores have a luxury section - I buy Wamsutta's sateen line I think it's called. It's 100% cotton, and 250+ thread count. I bought mine at Linens N Things, but they're sold in BB&B too. Fortunoff's has a great selection of comforters and sets.

Thanks Di and Cira. Well, Fortunoff isn't around the corner, but a shopping trip to Nassau county is always welcomed!

Jenn...I would say JCPenney Home Store by the Smithhaven Mall has a nice selection. That is right by me!!
Have you looked at that catalog that sometimes comes in the mail Domestications? I don't know if their quality is good but they always have a ton of stuff, though you might also want to see it in person.
Have fun shopping!!

Re: Shopping time!
Fortunoff always has a good selection. Ralph Lauren usually has nice sets with blue. Also, even though most of the sheets I looked at were 200 count, Eddie Bauer home store has nice designs with blue/navy.
I will go to fotunoffs with you Jenn...That is my fav, store

Re: Shopping time!
You can FM Lizlen, she knows somewhere out on the island that has sheets for discount prices. She is always telling me of her adventures. Just have not made it out there with her yet.

Believe it or not - Kmart's Martha Stewart high thread count sheets are quite good. And since Kmart is closing, you can get them on big sale.

Re: Shopping time!
I think a shopping trip is definitely in order!
Thanks for all the suggestions ladies! Now I just have to find a blue comforter. I have a Calvin Klein one that I love, but it's a really light blue/gray, and it's starting to look beat up. The Calvin Klein sheets are a different story. They were a problem from day one. I'll definitely stay away from them in the future.

Re: Shopping time!
I second the Royal Sateen. They are fantastic!! A bit pricier, but well worth it!! They are very high thread count (350+) and feel soooooo good!! Just edited to say that I bought my set from Bloomingdales but I think they sell them at Fortunoff as well (maybe Macy's too)
