show suggestions for parents
So I wanna suggest getting my parents tickets to a broadway show to DH, but I need to have actual suggestions.so girls, please help.
my parents have seen a bunch of shows... I mean, we don't even bother asking about it anymore.
I know they haven't seen blue man group or the lion king.... (I happen to want to see them)
they like comedies, they've seen wicked 2 or 3 times, they've seen the adams family... um, i can't even think now.
anyway, I don't want to spend more than $60.00 per ticket.
can you ladies help me.
the show would have to be on a sat, sun or mon (although, mondays are tough)
um... nothing passed 5:00pm... but nothing TOO early.
PLEASE SEND ME SOME SUGGESTIONS, with dates, times and prices... I don't know how to search these things. I haven't been to many shows.

Re: show suggestions for parents
If they like comedies, then I would suggest Colin Quinn: Long Story Short. As far as your days go, most theatres are dark on Mondays so that rules out Mondays for you. Saturday and Sundays are generally matinee days.
You can get rear orchestra for Colin Quinn for $59 a pop and it's playing through Feb 5th. I saw it and I thought it was fantastic and incredibly well-written. And I laughed so much I almost peed myself. Saturday performances are at 2:00 and 5:00. No performances of this show on Sundays. It's a small theatre, so rear orchestra isn't bad here.

Re: show suggestions for parents
thanks girls.DH and I discussed it and figured we'd just get them ticketmaster gift cards...
but I did ask my parents last night if there were any shows they wanted to see...
they both said 'NO!' with like an attitude.
so... I'm not sure what to do.
