Shower invite question?

Shower invite question?

I dindn't have a shower....so I need someone who did to tell me....
how far in advance do shower invites go out?
I would assume 6-8 weeks, but is it less?
What is the standard?

I had my shower on Nov. 4th and my wedding was March 25th. I think traditionally it's 1 or 2 months before the wedding but people are doing it sooner now a days...

no....I mean how far in advance do the invitations go out before the actual event.

FOr example, if the shower is on 9/15, when should I be expecting the invitation?
