Silly In-Laws Album Question

Of course...My husband asks me last night if I picked out the photos to go in HIS Mothers album!!! I of course said it's YOUR Mothers album. I want to go over it with you. Of course his reply was 'I don't give a ****e just put in the photos YOU know she'd like' (That's just the way he talks it wasn't meant to sound nasty)

So her's my question.. Did your husbands help? And what photos goes in his Mam's book? I'm figuring a bunch of John & our son and I guess the rest of her kids then a few of John & I. (She wasn't at the wedding so there are none of her )

How many are in the album? I would include relatives on her side, maybe one or 2 group shots of your side, and lots of the 3 of you, from before the ceremony to the end of the night.

For our parents, they are picking their own. I'm leaving our proofs with mum when we go to France

I actually made my MIL and my Mom pic out their own pics but in your case looks like you are going to have to do it your self!

I would make sure the pics that you pick are mostly of his family...a few shots of you guys together, the bridal party together. I wouldnt include picstures of you and your mom & dad or siblings.

DH's mom picked the pictures and he helped her out. I had no involvement really at all. She picked her favorite pictures of us together, some with the bridal party and then her family portraits. She tried to pick all the major events of the day - like the church, the cake cutting, dance with mom, etc.

Both mothers picked out the pictures they wanted for their albums. I was there to help them, most of the time, b/c there were so many proofs. I actually turned it (well, the beginning of the process which took quite a few hours...hehe) into part of their mother's day celebration. They loved it!

She lives in Ireland so there is no chance for her to pick them out. We want to have it ready for her by Christmas. (Hopefully I can get it in time)

Our parents picked out their own albums, but since your MIL is in Ireland, I think you should do it on your own. The reason why is that I know that if Patrick were choosing pictures of us for his mom's album, I KNOW he'd pick pictures that were either unflattering, or not 'special' enough, just to get the job done. At least I'd put some thought into it, and THEN I'd ask for Patrick's opinion.

You know your DH best. If you think he'll pick good pictures, by all means get him to help!
