Since the wedding,have you been really busy?

We're constantly having friends or family over for dinner or coffee and dessert or going to parties or get-togethers. We never have a weekend to ourselves.I was wondering if everyone is doing the same and if it calms down soon.

We're not married yet, but its been like that for us. For the past month all our friends and family has been inviting us over for dinner, coffee, to go out, things like that. Our weekends have been crazy busy.

My life was hectic before I met DH with constant parties, family gatherings, etc. When DH and I first started going out he was overwhelmed with my 'social calendar' and since we got married, it's only worse!!!! Everyone told me that it would 'calm down after you get married' -- yeah sure! If it's not one thing, it's another. Take for instance this month. I wanted to throw DH a 35 Spongebob b'day party (who's the big baby?), which is Jan 13, but I can't do it because we have my mother's b'day and a friend's this weekend, have to go up to see his mom next weekend for her b'day, then we have a party the following weekend for my aunt (whose b'day is in FEBRUARY, but they want it to be a real surprise for her and are having it in Jan, whatever), and then the weekend after that I have another surprise party!!!!! At the rate I'm going, I'll be celebrating his b'day in Feb!

Debbie,my husband's birthday is January 15th!
My mom's was in Dec.His mom's in Feb.March has so many family birthday's,I won't even get into it.
Its hard to watch your diet with so much cake.

Since the wedding, I have been so busy! Things have not calmed down at all. I wish it was more social things though. I have been trying to get my new apartment in order (we moved into a bigger apartment almost 2 months before we got married and I still have things in boxes and things to be hung on walls). I still feel like I have wedding errands (pictures, videos, thank yous, not to mention figuring out what to do with the 2 boxes of wedding stuff on my dining room floor). Then the holidays and birthdays of December just topped it all off! I am hoping January will help and slow things down!

We are always so busy. We decided to stay home on New Year's Eve and do nothing but relax. Boy, did we need it. Both of us are very social and so we are always making plans or having people over. One of our new resolutions is to stop saying yes to everything.

i know exactly what you mean....we also have people coming over constantly....not to mention that our families keep asking us to come over for dinner all the time....just this past week, i had to decline invites from DH's mom twice....i think she's pissed at me, but i don't care....i know she just wants to see her baby boy (hehe), but if i accept every one of her invites and then every one of my mom's we'd never be home....the way i see it, we are now our own family, not just someone's kids/siblings so we have to stand up to everyone as a team!!!

I think having the holidays right after our weddings kept us busy. Honestly, if I was not moving into the new house later this month I am sure things would calm down a lot for us. But I don't mind being busy with stuff I enjoy doing.

michele31- you made a great point - it is not bad being busy when they are things you enjoy. I love being busy and am grateful for the most part it has mostly been with good things!

I just mean that I am so tired.Every weekend we're entertaining & it gets exhausting when you have such a full schedule. I love seeing everyone but I need a break to catch up on other things and to rest.

My life is back to normal after the wedding. I can return to my volunteer activity thank goodness.

We have been incredibly busy - I thought (actually hoped ) THings would ease up after the wedding. I am keeping my fingers crossed for after the holidays. Although January is looking pretty busy so far

So far every weekend in January we have plans too.

We have been so busy! We got back fro mour honeymoon on the 10th of December, then the holidays, then New Year's, and my birthday is January 12th, and DH is the 19th! And... nit only did I marry a man, I married HUGE really close knit family. I'm not complaning though, it really is nice. I never had a really close family ~ and my family is pretty small. BUT, we're exhausted! (And now everyone wants to come over to see proofs!)

We're married almost a year ... we haven't done our album yet..... that says it all!

My friend who has been married for 7 years already told me that the first year of marriage is always really busy & then it should get less crazy.

I certainly hope so!!!! :) Glad I am not the only one who is busy and who has GAINED WEIGHT! :))
