I was wondering if someone could give me an idea for a different guest book for my E party..
Something that is more Fun then Formal. Since I would want to stick to formal for the wedding.
Thank you!

Re: Since you girls are the most creative!
Hmmmmm
Get a nice journal, they have them in lots of colors and designs at Barnes and Noble.
Maybe ask your guests to write in there a cerain type of advice...lets say advice to the bride on XYZ topic, and to the groom on another topic...
Like 5 things a husband should never/always do. or 5 things a bride should still do nowadays...
i cant think of good topics/themes, but thats my idea ! I may do that for my friends shower book.
Make sure everyone uses a page each, so that you dont have a zillion empty pages at the end, i hate that, lol.
hope that helped !

I like the idea that someone posted awhile back ... have someone take pictures with an instamatic camera & let guests write a message on the bottom of each pic. Then assemble all pics into a book!
How'd your scrapbook party go?

take a picture of the 2 of you, blow it up, and have it matted. Hang it at the party where everyone is sure to see it - maybe where they pick up their table cards (if you're doing seating arrangements). Then have your guests sign around the picture.
or
Have someone take a picture of each person/couple at the party with a polaroid camera and them have those people write a little something to you on their picture. Then you can put all the pics into an album.
Hope this helps...

Re: Since you girls are the most creative!
my gf did this for me for my shower. Its very informal and Im not sure if its too informal for you. She took a pizza paddle and had everyone write on it in different color markers, then she took it home and varnished it to seal it and make it shiney. I have it hanging up in my kitchen and its a nice reminder of the day.
Do you have any hobbies that you may be able to do something like that? or sports?
I have also seen it done with an apron.
Do you have a formal engagement pic of your 2? You might want to get it framed with a big mat and let people sign that.
Good Luck Lisa

If you dont mind spending a few bucks on it, what about a sign in platter like I did for my wedding. You can make it as casual as you want depending on what sort of image/font you use on the plate.

I think those huge poster things are great for a Sweet 16- when you want to hang it in your room. But in a house where would you put it? Stef's platter was beautiful! It is classy, and use can use it for years to come.

Another idea is to get a coffee table book of the area (not sure where you eparty is) or a book with a bunch of 'love themed' photos and have people sign and write in advice in that.

The plate? You can get it at a store in Brooklyn (there are 2 locations - one in Carrol Gardens, one in Bay Ridge) called The Painted Pot.
FYI: You have to order it in advance.

Re: Since you girls are the most creative!
There was a store on line that has these books, with these pages that the guests would fill in, like predicitions for the couple, how far did you travel, etc. Someone had posted something about it a month or so ago, I will look for the post and bump it.
