Single Friends

Since getting married, does anyone notice a difference in your relationships with friends, specifically single friends?
I know we will have less in common, and some different interests, but i am seeing a big change like they don't even want to socialize with a 'couple'. Or worse, a couple of couples!

All but 1 of my close friends are now married ( we were one of the last couples to bite the bullet!), and I see no change in our friendships, in fact we may even be closer because we have so much fun together with decorating our homes, and things like that.

My lone single friend is pulling away from the group, and while I can't say I blame her, I miss her!

yeah, thats what I mean. Our married friends are getting closer than ever naturally. Kids and Baby talk, new homes or apartments, saving for a new car or home repairs, GARDENING! Yikes there are so many new things we are interested in! But there are say, 3 friends still single and I don't blame them for not wanting to sit around all the time with us, they don't call, don't come around, and even if something is planned for far in the future and they are given plenty of notice to pencil us in (and everyone else wants to see them too) they already have plans. I can't win. I just miss them. I'd even be up for a girls night but they don't thin to include me in that either.

Both sets of our Married friends who got married 4 or so years ago are now bith pregenant. What pisses me off is that they do not return Phone calls. I am really tired being the one who always calls at least give me (us) the courtisy of calling back.
It also does not help that we moved to Westchester . But people can still call back

Single Friends- Where are they now?

I have the same problem, before I met my husband it would be every weekend we would do something, bars, clubs, and even going to the mall and the beach. My husband works on Saturday and I don't even get a call to see what I'm doing. I was totally alienated by them, and it kind of hurt, I guess I was more interesting when I was single. Yes now I am boring, BUT hey how long can you hang out in the clubs and party? I made sure I did that before I got married, now I enjoy my husband and the low key life we lead, that doesn't mean I'm not available for dinner or lunch with them. I gave up trying so now I don't have a relationship with those single friends anymore.

a single friend

I am the last of a group of 4 very close friends for years and years, and the last one to be single. I didn't even realize until I entered couple-dom that I had been pulling away! Now that I'm engaged, all I want to do is couple things and talk about weddings and houses. Retrospectively, I think it was very painful to see all my best friends coupled off - not that I wasn't happy for them, just afraid that I was alone - but the point is, I didn't even realize I was doing it!
