Sis in Law

My sister in laws husband went to the National Guard training...and she was very sad about him leaving and stuff...she hasnt ever really ever been nice to me, but i took a step and sent her a cookie basket from Cookies by Design to cheer her up... sent a little note about staying strong, and everythign will work out etc...the basket was delivered at 4 pm, i called to confirm, and than at 12:30 AM she sends me a text saying thanks for the basket, it was nice. and thats it...im so mad how people have resorted to text to do anything...how about a phone call saying thanks? btw how are u also, etc ?

It just stinks cuz you try to make an intiative to go out of your way ....but some people never change. The reason why I am even saying this is because she has never said Happy Anniversary, bday, valentine, christmas, new year to me ever...but i figured since she is my SIL to do something to cheer her up...

You did the right thing, even if she's too self-absorbed to appreciate it. It was a very thoughtful gesture.

Awww im sorry. I think you did the right thing as well. I also think you are who you are. If its your way to be anice kind compassionate person then dont let one cold fish change you. She obviously has some issues.
